Longtime singer-songwriter and guitarist Bonnie Raitt, known for her unique blends of blues, R&B, rock and pop, will perform on Maui on March 31 as part of her “Just Like That…” tour in 2023.

Raitt will make an appearance at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s A&B Amphitheater and Yokouchi Pavilion along with special guest and award-winning Hawaiian singer-songwriter John Cruz.

After 20 years as a cult favorite, Raitt broke through to the top in the early ’90s with her Grammy Award-winning albums, “Nick of Time” and “Luck of the Draw,” according to a news release. Raitt has won 10 Grammys and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.

Raitt has been busy in 2022 going on a 75-date headlining U.S. tour, releasing her critically acclaimed 21st album “Just Like That…” on her independent label Redwing Records, receiving the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, being honored with the Icon Award at this year’s Billboard Women in Music Awards and seeing “Nick of Time” added to the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry.

Cruz, meanwhile, is a renowned local artist whose songs range from Hawaiian to blues, folk, R&B and other styles. He is a multi-Na Hoku Hanohano Award winner and contributed a composition and song to the Grammy-winning album “Slack Key Guitar, Vol. 2.”

Tickets to the concert will go on sale to MACC members at 10 a.m. today and to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday. They cost $60, $80, $100 and $140 for Gold Circle, plus applicable fees, and are available online only at MauiArts.org.

The show starts at 7 p.m., with gates opening at 5 p.m.

One dollar for every ticket purchased for a U.S. concert will be donated to grassroots local, regional and national organizations whose work focuses on safe and sustainable energy, social justice and human rights, environmental protection and blues/music education.
