“Solved By The Bell” is an optional quest in Hogwarts Legacy. The quest takes place in Henrietta’s Hideout and tasks you with finding a mysterious item and solving a bell puzzle. In this guide, you will learn where to start and how to solve the puzzle.
Start “Solved By The Bell”
“Solved from the Bell” is a side quest in Hogwarts Legacy. This quest is optional. To start it, you need to go all the way to the south of the map to Henrietta’s Hideout. The quest will show up on the map and will automatically be added to your quest journal once you’re close enough.
The goal of this quest is to solve a bell puzzle. This is not to be confused with the Bell Tower Puzzle, which takes place at Hogwarts itself. Where Is Henrietta’s Hideout?
You can find Henrietta’s Hideout in the very south of the Hogwarts Legacy world map. The screenshots below show the ruins of a castle. Below these ruins is the entrance to Henrietta’s hideout:
Henrietta’s Hideout Puzzle 1
When you arrive at Henrietta’s Hideout, some puzzles are waiting for you. After entering this place, you will see two plates on the floor where you have to place cubes. You probably already know this kind of puzzle from the quest A Bird in the Hand. A cube is already right before you. You can find the second cube by igniting the braziers in front of the left statue with, for example, Confringo.
Now lift out the cube with Accio and place it on the second plate on the floor. When both cubes are placed, you must cast the spell shown on the cube itself:
- Red Cube: Icendio
- Blue Cube: Glacius

Now defeat all opponents in the large room with the eagle stone statue. Then go to the stairs on the left. If you follow the passage above, you will come to a place where a trap will teleport you backward. The trap works through a ground element that you can highlight with Revelio.

The Musical Map
After a major fight, you’ll find a wall in the back of the room on the right side that disappears as you approach it. Walk through it and find the Musical Map on a table in this room.
Now leave Henrietta’s Hideout and go to search for the location from the Musical Map.
The Destination of the Musical Map
Go to Castle Clagmar in the southeast of the world map. You can see the location of Castle Clagmar for “Solved By The Bell” in the following screenshot:
In the southwest part of the castle, you will find the bell puzzle.
The Bell Puzzle
Find the bells. The Musical Map tells you the order in which you should ring the bells. However, this is encoded in note form. Ring the bells in the following order by shooting at them with your basic spell:
If you have used the bells in the correct order, a small melody will sound for confirmation. A chest will now appear next to you from which you can loot Treasure Seeker’s Longcloak. Treasure Hunter’s Longcloak allows you to change your appearance in Hogwarts Legacy.
