Human Rights is the “inherent dignity and the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family.” Human rights are not granted by the State, nor stemming from citizenship in a country. Human rights are rights that necessarily spring from being a member of the human species. While it is basic in all aspects, sadly, these rights are often neglected. The Institute for Global Studies (IGS) is one with human rights advocates in promoting fairness, dignity, equality, and respect for all humans—regardless of color, race, religion, or social class.
